The 2023 Orthopaedic Trauma Symposium will present a review of "routine fractures" and tips/tricks for getting better at them as well as skills labs. "Real world" tips and tricks and skills improvement. the course will incorporate short didactic sessions about "routine fractures" and then labs/practicals geared to improving psychomotor skills.
Objectives: Share experience and approaches to challenging cases with colleagues and expert faculty to enhance understanding of recommended treatment and management strategies. Recognize the challenges posed by bone loss, infections, non-unions, and other issues and take steps to mitigate complications and adverse outcomes. Identify unique and difficult fracture patterns and problems in the orthopaedic trauma patient and utilize the best treatment options and algorithms for these difficult cases. Apply performance improvement tips to improve interactions that can result in enhanced patient and provider outcomes and experiences. Incorporate an interprofessional team-based approach in the management of common and complex fractures.

The Annual Meeting will commence at 8:00 AM, Thursday October 19, 2023 and adjourn at 12:00 PM, Saturday, October 21, 2023. There will be more than 400 accomplished orthopaedic trauma surgeon presenters/moderators/authors sharing their expertise, experience and perspectives.
The pre-meeting and concurrent meeting educational programs remain strong! In addition to the PA/NP Course, Resident Course, Boot Camp and E/M Coding Course, Wednesday’s content will also include new courses such as the Young Practitioner’s Fireside, (4) Non CME Pre-Meeting Symposia, and a newly formatted Young Practitioners Forum – Practice Management course. We will continue to have the Educate the Educators course as well as the Member Fireside series.
