Musculoskeletal Ultrasound of the Shoulder, Hip and Spine Training Course

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound of the Shoulder, Hip and Spine Training Course will provide hands-on training in musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSKUS) of the hip, sacroiliac joint and shoulder. The objective of the course is to enable participants to use MSKUS as a point-of care imaging tool to assist with the diagnosis of painful joint. Leading MSK ultrasound experts will cover ultrasound scanning techniques, sonoanatomy, and sonopathology, including MSKUS examination of hemophilic these groups of joints. Diagnosis of iliopsoas bleeds and trochanteric pain will be highlighted.

Format: Interactive lectures, case presentations, round table discussions, and hands-on scanning.

The course is limited to 20 participants.

8th Annual Revision Hip & Knee Course

This course is intended for orthopedic surgeons who have ample experience in primary arthroplasty and now want to become more proficient in revision procedures. This highly interactive, hands-on course will feature expert faculty, who will share the knowledge, principles, and skills necessary to evaluate arthroplasty patients who have pain, fracture, infection, instability, bone loss, implant failure, extensile exposure, component removal techniques, treatment of periprosthetic infection, evaluation of metal hypersensitivity, management of extensor mechanism injury.

Participants will learn how to determine an appropriate treatment course, identify potential pitfalls, and either work up and refer or perform revision surgery when indicated. Participants will also receive solid hands-on training in revision procedures during the bio-skills lab at Stabile Biotechnology Building.
