This Privacy Policy applies to all information gathered through OrthoAxis, LLC and its directory websites (the "Sites"). By using these Sites, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or the protection of your personal information on our Sites, please write us at info@doortoaxis.com. OrthoAxis, LLC ("OrthoAxis," "us," "our," "we") will update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect company and customer feedback.
When OrthoAxis posts changes to this Privacy Policy, we also will revise the "last updated" date at the top of the Privacy Policy. OrthoAxis encourages you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to be informed of how OrthoAxis is protecting your information and to be aware of any changes to the Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the Terms of Use Agreement governing OrthoAxis' various Sites.
Information we may collect when you visit our Sites falls into two broad categories: personal information, and aggregate or non-personal information. "Personal Information" is information that can be used to identify or contact you, such as your name, e-mail address, or mailing address. "Non-Personal Information" is information that does not identify you, and may include, for example, statistical information concerning the web pages on our Sites that users most frequent. Our Privacy Policy governs both categories of information, as detailed below.
OrthoAxis may explicitly ask when it needs information that personally identifies you, ("Personal Information") pertinent to the specific service you are choosing to use on the OrthoAxis Sites. This information may include your e-mail address, your name, your company name, address, telephone number, and credit card number, as applicable.
Company Registration Information: OrthoAxis collects personal information when you register your company with OrthoAxis. Our registration forms will specify the information that you must provide in order to use the particular feature, and the information that you may, at your option, choose to provide or withhold. When you register at our Sites, you will choose a "password," providing you access to associated services and materials. When you revisit our Sites, this "password" will provide this same access to you – or to others you allow to use your account. You should refrain from providing others with access to your account if you would prefer that they not access the "registration only" portions of our Sites with your password.
Inquiry Submission: When you submit a request for information from an advertiser, you must provide your company name, your name, email address and telephone number.
Email and Other Direct Communications: You may email us or provide us with comments and feedback concerning our Sites generally. By communicating with us in these ways, you may provide us with your email address, and other Personal Information. We will handle information that you provide in this manner in accordance with our Privacy Policy for Personal Information.
We may also collect non-personal information from our online visitors, such as demographic information (your age, gender, income, education, profession, etc.). Non-personal information may also include technical information including your browser type, areas of the Site visited, date and time of access, host or service provided information, and identification of the referring site.
When you browse our Sites, the choices you make may provide information concerning your interests, and concerning the appeal and efficacy of associated Site features. Information concerning our visitors' activities at our Sites – which pages they visit, and how long they view these pages, for example – is Non-Personal Information. This information does not identify a particular user, but does provide potentially useful data concerning our users' preferences and the efficacy and interest of our Sites' features. The manner in which we collect Non-Personal Information is set out below.
Cookies: We collect Non-Personal Information about your use of our Sites through cookies and similar Internet technologies. "Cookies" are small text files that a web site can use to recognize repeat users, to facilitate the user's ongoing access to and use of a site, and to compile aggregate data to improve a site and focus advertising. Cookies work as follows: a web site will send a cookie to your browser that uniquely associates your computer with information stored at the site. Your browser places the cookie in its cookies file. When you next access that site on your computer, the site recognizes the cookie, makes the stored information available, and adds new information based on the present visit.
Disabling Cookies: You may choose not to allow us to collect information in this manner, through cookies. If you wish, you can set your browser software to reject cookies, and most browsers provide instructions for disabling the cookies feature in their "Help" section. Because cookies can be used to provide certain functionality, if you disable your browser's cookies feature, certain elements of our Sites may be unavailable to you.
Addresses: A so-called "Internet Protocol" (IP) address is associated with your computer's connection to the Internet. We use your computer's IP address to maintain contact with you as you navigate through our Sites. We also may use your computer's IP address to provide you with personalized content. Similar to cookies, your computer's IP address by itself does not identify you personally. We treat IP addresses, therefore, as Non-Personal Information, as provided below.
Advertisers' Collection of Information: With Internet technology, it is possible for advertisers, as well as site hosts, to collect information through the use of cookies and other technologies, such as so-called "clear GIF" files.
OrthoAxis may use your Personal Information to operate its various Sites and to provide any services you have requested. When you register your company with OrthoAxis, this information may be made available to the public as a listing in our directory sites. This information may also be made available to a user to whom you send a reply to a request for more information. The information also may be used to communicate with you regarding your account(s) with OrthoAxis. We also use your e-mail address to respond to incoming service and support requests from you, to collect customer feedback, to conduct customer satisfaction surveys, and to send other service informational mailings.
We may ask for your postal address because some of our services require a mailing address so that we can perform the service completely. For example, we need your postal address for credit card validation.
We may share information with carefully selected advertisers, business partners and other organizations, which are not part of OrthoAxis. However, OrthoAxis will not share your password to any third party. These companies and organizations may use the information we share to provide special opportunities and offers to you.
OrthoAxis also may disclose your Personal Information if required to do so by law or in the goodfaith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on OrthoAxis or its Sites; (b) protect or defend the rights or property of OrthoAxis, its Sites or its web site users or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of OrthoAxis, its Sites or the public. We will be entitled to provide your email address to non-affiliated third parties without your permission. We may disclose aggregate information, such as demographic information, and our statistical analyses to third parties, including advertisers or other business partners. This aggregate information does not include your Personal Information, except for your e-mail address, as noted above. Also, we may disclose your Personal Information if required to do so in order to enforce or apply our rights and agreements, or when we believe in good faith that disclosing this information is necessary or advisable to protect the rights, property, or safety of our visitors or others. We may also disclose your Personal Information to any successor-in-interest such as a company that acquires us. In the event we enter into a business transaction, merger or acquisition by or with another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information will likely be among the assets transferred.
Personally, identifiable information collected by OrthoAxis may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which OrthoAxis or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities, and by using our Sites, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
We may use Personal Information you give to us to provide you with information, newsletters, updates, and related materials. We will be entitled to provide your e-mail address to non-affiliated third parties without your permission. We may also use this information to respond to questions and comments from you. In addition, we may use this information to contact you. You are free at any time to opt-out of receiving email and other information we may send to you by providing us notice thereof at the address set forth below. We use Non-Personal Information to help us make our Sites more useful to visitors and for other business purposes. Also, we may use the Non-Personal Information in cookies to help us to personalize the Sites according to the preferences you tell us, and make your visit a more convenient experience.
While OrthoAxis supports other web site operators using OrthoAxis services complying with these principles, you should examine carefully the privacy statements of sites linking to or from OrthoAxis. Personal information that you choose to provide to other web sites will be subject to the privacy statements of those specific web sites. OrthoAxis is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other web sites. We provide these links as a convenience, and we do not endorse the content or services offered by, or the privacy policies in place at, these other sites. Our privacy policy covers only information we collect at our Sites, and other sites to which we link may have privacy policies that differ considerably from our Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each site you visit through our links, to ensure you are comfortable with these policies. We are not responsible for the conduct or policies of these third parties.
Our Sites are not directed at children, and we will not accept or request personal information from individuals we know to be under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete this information from our databases.
