Severe cases of acetabular bone loss often require an implant specifically made to match the patient’s individual anatomy. Zimmer Biomet’s Triflange Acetabular component is a patient-matched implant designed in partnership with the surgeon, using the patient’s own CT scan data.
The success of each implant starts with accurate reconstruction of the patient’s CT scan data into a 3-D bone model. We use this to create an implant proposal that can be sent out digitally via 3-D PDF file, or as a rapid prototype model.
