Product Overview
The Klassic® Blade Femoral Stem is a tapered wedge with Ti-Coat®, an asymmetrical ultra-porous rough sintered titanium coating for biological fixation. The combination of a patented smooth medial transition to the Ti-Coat and a relieved distal tip eases insertion for both anterior and posterior approaches. Offered in standard and lateral offset necks, the stem is designed with flexibility and fit in mind.
The patented Klassic HD Acetabular Cup is a thin-walled, ultra-porous hemispherical cup with 1.5mm of press-fit at the rim. Ti-Coat porous coating offers 60% porosity for biological fixation.
The Klassic HD Acetabular Insert features XLPE or E-Link® Poly and offers one insert for every cup to establish a 5mm minimum poly thickness to ensure that the center of rotation stays constant.
E-Link Poly is a Vitamin E stabilized highly cross-linked ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. Vitamin E is blended into the UHMWPE in powder form, then compression molded, and cross linked by gamma radiation to 10 MRads. E-Link utilizes Vitamin E which has been shown to quench free radicals generated from the cross-linking process yielding oxidative stability. XLPE is highly cross-linked at 7.5 MRads and remelted for oxidative stability.
Femoral heads are provided in both Ceramtec BIOLOX®delta Ceramic or Cobalt Chrome.
